SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism & Complex Needs A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex learning needs in a well-resourced and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the ARP team, class teachers, SENCO, therapists, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive both academically and socially.

The Role
  • Support pupils with Autism and complex needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.
  • Promote communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
  • Support pupils with sensory needs and implement individual strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care where required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience supporting children with Autism (ASC) and/or complex needs.
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • Experience with in a primary school, specialist setting, ARP, or SEN environment is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
