Behaviour Support Assistant - SEND & Alternative Provisions

Milk Education Guildford is seeking passionate and resilient Behaviour Support Assistants to support a range of SEN and SEMH schools across Hounslow and Feltham

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong behaviour management experience who is passionate about supporting young people, helping them overcome barriers to learning, and creating a positive and inclusive school environment.

About the Behaviour Support Assistant Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND, and additional learning needs
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies and individual support plans
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN teams, and pastoral staff to promote positive outcomes
  • Using effective de-escalation and behaviour management techniques when required
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and confidence
  • Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom environment
Essential Requirements

To be considered for this Behaviour Support Assistant role, you will need:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people (school, youth work, care, residential, or similar backgrounds considered)
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or challenging behaviour is desirable
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
  • A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential
