The school are ideally looking for a Psychology Graduate to join them from September 2026
. This is the perfect opportunity for a graduate who is keen to gain long‑term experience supporting children with a range of SEN, additional needs and social, emotional and mental health needs.
You will be working across KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils academically, emotionally and socially. The school are looking for an eager, resilient and passionate graduate who can build strong relationships with pupils, adapt their approach to individual needs and help create a calm, positive and nurturing learning environment.
About the Role - Aspiring Assistant Psychologist – Psychology Graduate:- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN and additional needs
- Working across KS1 and KS2
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Tailoring your approach based on each child’s individual needs
- Providing academic, emotional and social support throughout the school day
- Supporting the class teacher with lessons, routines and behaviour management
- Helping pupils feel safe, confident, comfortable and ready to learn
- Monday to Friday, full‑time
- September 2026 start
- Full academic year role
- Located in the Borough of Hackney
- Psychology degree from a reputable University
- Graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 degree preferred
- Childcare, SEN, tutoring, mentoring or youth work experience would be desirable
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Ideal for aspiring Assistant Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists or SEN professionals
- Patient, resilient and calm in challenging situations
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Confident, proactive and enthusiastic approach
- A genuine passion for education and child development
