Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (dependent on experience) We are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our supportive team at our specialist school in Islington. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who require a personalised approach to education. Our school provides a nurturing and structured environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural difficulties.

About the Role Teach Mathematics to small classes of 710 pupils , allowing you to build strong relationships and provide individualised support. Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire confidence and progress. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. Help create a positive, consistent learning environment where every pupil can succeed.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Has experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level. Is passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges. Demonstrates patience, resilience, empathy, and excellent classroom management skills. Is committed to high expectations and helping every pupil achieve their potential. Experience working within specialist settings, alternative provision, or with pupils with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.
