September 2026 A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced and passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in Selhurst, Croydon, starting in September 2026. The successful candidates will be working within a dedicated SEND Hub, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of SEND needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Support learning through tailored activities, interventions, and one-to-one or small group sessions.
- Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and other professionals to support pupils’ individual development plans.
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, communication, and wellbeing.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND within a school or educational setting.
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and support their individual needs.
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
- A supportive and inclusive working environment.
- A dedicated SEND provision with experienced staff.
