We are currently looking for experienced and passionate SEN Tutors to provide high-quality one-to-one tuition to children and young people across Merton and the surrounding South London areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for tutors who are passionate about supporting learners with additional needs and helping them build confidence, improve their educational outcomes and reach their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Tutor, you will:

Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition tailored to each learner's individual needs.

Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Deliver tuition in English, Maths and/or other relevant subjects.

Assess learners' needs and adapt lessons accordingly.

Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils.

Monitor progress and provide feedback on learning and development.

Work collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals where appropriate.

Create a safe, encouraging and inclusive learning environment.

We Are Looking For

We would love to hear from tutors who have:

Experience working with SEN/SEND learners.

A teaching, tutoring, mentoring or education background.

Strong knowledge of the UK education system.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual learners.

A patient, reliable and nurturing approach.

Relevant qualifications or experience in English, Maths or other curriculum areas.

Experience supporting learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia or other additional needs would be highly desirable.

£25–£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
