About the role

The MA Applied Linguistics and MA TESOL are three of four masters programmes offered by the Applied Linguistics, TESOL and Intercultural Communication cluster (ALTIC cluster) based In CCM.

As Lecturer (Teaching) in Applied Linguistics/TESOL, you will supervise MA dissertations or reports in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and related areas.

In addition to marking and providing feedback to students, you will also support the running of the Dissertation/Research methods module throughout the academic year, as required.

About you

With a completed doctorate in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or a related discipline, you will also have good knowledge of foundational areas and paradigms in one or more of the following areas: language and identity, Discourse Analysis, Critical Discourse analysis, Language Policy, Global Englishes, and SLA.

Your application form should address all the person specification points and should clearly demonstrate how your skills and experience meet each of the criteria.
