A highly inclusive and ambitious primary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its team from 7th September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who wants more than a purely classroom:based role. The school has a strong reputation for knowing its pupils well, maintaining high expectations and providing carefully targeted support to help children make excellent progress.

You will work alongside experienced teachers and the schools inclusion team, supporting pupils both individually and in small groups. The role would suit someone who is passionate about education, enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and wants to develop their skills within a well:established primary school.

• Provide one:to:one and small:group support across the primary age range
• Deliver targeted interventions in reading, phonics, writing and maths
• Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
• Help children develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
• Work alongside teachers to adapt activities and resources
• Support pupils during lessons, playtimes and wider school activities
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment

• Experienced Teaching Assistants looking for a new challenge
• Graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology or child development
• Experienced tutors, mentors, sports coaches or youth workers looking to move into education
• Patient, enthusiastic and confident working with children
• Able to build strong relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
• Interested in developing their understanding of SEND and inclusive education

Previous primary school experience is desirable, but the school will consider strong candidates with relevant transferable experience.

This is a particularly good opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who wants to develop professionally rather than simply provide classroom cover.
