About the role
The UCL School of Management is seeking to appoint a full-time Associate Professor (Teaching) in Supply Chains, with expertise in supply chain management and a strong record of excellence and innovation in higher education teaching. The role includes a major leadership opportunity to develop and launch a new MSc in Supply Chain Management with Sustainability and Analytics, acting as Programme Director during its early stages.
The postholder will lead programme design and delivery, coordinate with academic and professional services teams, and work closely with industry and external partners. They will also contribute to recruitment strategy, student experience, and the development of a high-quality and diverse cohort. The role involves collaboration across UCL and engagement with external addition, the postholder will teach and assess at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervise student projects, and contribute to wider academic and leadership responsibilities.
The role requires a strong track record of educational leadership, engagement with research-informed teaching, and active involvement in academic and industry networks nationally and internationally.

This is a post on the Teaching track/Education and is not an academic research track post. Salary – UCL Grade 9 68,284 to 74,166 pa (including London allowance)

About youThe successful candidate will hold a relevant PhD or equivalent Doctorate in supply chain management or a related field and have significant experience teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
They will be able to relate supply chain theory to real-world business practice and teach effectively to students from diverse disciplinary and cultural backgrounds. A strong commitment to reflective teaching practice is essential, with the ability to maintain excellent student evaluations (minimum 4 out of 5 or equivalent). The role requires excellent English communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to build effective and collegiate relationships at all levels.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a varied and demanding workload are also essential.
