About the school:
An inclusive and forward-thinking SEN school in Greenwich is seeking an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs teacher to join its dedicated SEND provision. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Special Educational Needs teacher, someone with a EYFS background to work within a specialist unit supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
The provision is part of a growing specialist offering developed in partnership with the local authority, initially supporting younger pupils and now expanding across additional year groups. It provides a highly personalised, nurturing environment where learning is tailored to meet individual needs.
About the role:
The curriculum is topic-based and combines practical, engaging learning experiences with a strong emphasis on developing social communication, attention, and interaction skills. There is also a clear focus on sensory development, behaviour support, and play-based learning. Each pupil benefits from an individualised package of support to ensure they can access learning in a meaningful and effective way.
The school itself is a welcoming and community-focused environment with a strong ethos centred on inclusion, respect, and high expectations for all. Staff are committed to ensuring every child is supported to achieve their full potential in a caring and positive setting.
