Are you an experienced and passionate PMLD Teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role where you can make a genuine difference? A specialist SEN school based in Waltham Forest is looking for a dedicated teacher to join their team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with pupils with additional needs and wants to be part of a supportive, nurturing school environment.
The School
Specialist SEN Setting - A welcoming environment supporting pupils with a range of additional and complex needs.
Supportive Team - Work alongside experienced Teaching Assistants, therapists and wider support staff to provide the best possible outcomes for pupils.
Personalised Learning - The school focuses on individual needs, abilities and EHCP outcomes, ensuring every pupil receives the right support to progress.
The Role
Teach a small class of pupils within a specialist SEN setting.
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based around individual needs.
Support pupils with a range of SEN and complex learning needs.
Develop positive relationships with pupils and create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals.
Monitor pupil progress and contribute towards EHCP targets and reviews.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet different learning styles and abilities.
Who We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
Experience working within an SEN setting is highly desirable.
Experience supporting pupils with complex needs, ASD, SLD, PMLD or other additional needs.
A patient, creative and nurturing approach to teaching.
Confident working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
