1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant – Merton

Location: Merton, South West London
Pay: £100–£120 per day
Contract: Full-Time | September Start | Long-Term

Milk Education are working with an inclusive primary school in Merton who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil from September.

This is a rewarding classroom-based role for someone who is patient, consistent and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Help the pupil access lessons and classroom activities.
• Support communication, engagement and social development.
• Reinforce strategies provided by the class teacher and SENDCo.
• Encourage independence and confidence.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Adapt classroom activities and resources where required.
• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.

• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• SEN experience would be advantageous.
• Patient, calm and compassionate approach.
• Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliable, consistent and proactive.
• Passionate about inclusive education.
