This is an ideal opportunity for a Psychology graduate seeking hands-on experience supporting children with a range of learning, behavioural, social, and emotional needs.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SEND professionals, and senior leaders to provide tailored support for pupils across the primary phase.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils requiring additional assistance.

• Supporting children with SEND, SEMH, speech and language, and learning difficulties.

• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

• Implementing targeted interventions to support academic progress.

• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.

• Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and social development.

• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to support plans.

• Building positive and nurturing relationships with pupils, families, and staff.

• Contributing to the school's inclusive and child-centered environment.

The school is seeking an outstanding graduate with a genuine interest in child development and educational support.

• A Psychology degree from a recognised university.

• A First-Class Honours Degree or strong 2:1 classification

• Excellent GCSE results, including strong grades in English, Mathematics, and Science
  .

• Strong A-Level results.

• A passion for working with primary-aged children.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A patient, empathetic, and professional approach.

• The ability to build positive relationships with children from a wide range of backgrounds.

• Previous experience working with children through:

  • Youth work

  • Mentoring programmes

  • Summer schools

  • Voluntary placements

  • SEND support settings
