Teach Now is looking for an experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a primary setting in Haringey on a full-time temporary basis from September.
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant
, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to make sure children receive the encouragement, challenge and individual attention they need.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning across KS1.
- Running phonics, early-reading and maths activities.
- Working with individuals and small intervention groups.
- Supporting pupils with SEND where required.
- Helping children develop independence and positive learning habits.
- Preparing resources and maintaining an organised classroom.
The ideal candidate:
You’ll have previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS1 or EYFS. Knowledge of phonics and early literacy is particularly valuable. A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, although strong relevant school experience is equally important.
£90–£100 per day, full‑time experience from September, meaningful involvement in children’s early development and the opportunity to strengthen your KS1 and SEND experience.
