In Brent, you will contribute to a collaborative outreach offer that helps schools build capacity, reduce exclusions and ensure more children can successfully access and engage in education.
The RoleWe are seeking a committed and skilled Behaviour Specialist to support schools in promoting positive behaviour, strengthening inclusion and helping to prevent exclusion for children and young people.
This is a rewarding and hands‑on role working across primary and secondary schools, as well as alternative provision settings. You will work directly with pupils experiencing social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD), delivering targeted interventions and support that help remove barriers to learning and improve engagement, attendance and outcomes.
You will play a key role in helping children and young people remain connected to education, supporting schools to create inclusive environments where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Key responsibilities- Managing a caseload of pupils and delivering targeted interventions to address behavioural, emotional and engagement needs
- Working closely with schools, families and multi‑agency partners to improve outcomes and promote inclusive practice
- Developing and implementing personalised support programmes for pupils at risk of exclusion
- Supporting reintegration into mainstream education from alternative provision or following periods of absence
- Providing one‑to‑one mentoring and support for vulnerable pupils
- Contributing to training and development for school staff to strengthen behaviour support strategies
- Monitoring pupil progress and evaluating the impact of interventions, maintaining accurate records and reports
- Providing flexible wraparound support for complex cases to ensure successful outcomes
