As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs across a range of welcoming primary schools. Responsibilities Of a SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Provide 1:1 support as an SEN Teaching Assistant for pupils with additional needs
  • Support small intervention groups as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Work with children with autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Assist the class teacher and SENCO as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment as an SEN Teaching Assistant
Requirements For a SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with special educational needs
  • A caring, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of behaviour management and SEN strategies
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Availability to start in September 2026
