Learning Support Assistants

We are seeking enthusiastic 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to work within welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary schools across Southwark
. With both daily supply and long-term opportunities available, this role offers flexibility while providing the chance to make a meaningful impact on a child's educational journey.

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils requiring additional assistance.
• Help children access the curriculum and engage positively in lessons.
• Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience in learning.
• Adapt support strategies to meet the individual needs of each child.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

We are keen to hear from candidates who:

• Have experience working with children or young people.
• Are patient, nurturing, and adaptable.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Are passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential.
• Have experience supporting children with SEND, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
