Teach Now is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teaching and learning within a diverse primary-school setting in Brent.
The successful HLTA will play an important part in helping pupils make progress, supporting teaching across the curriculum and providing reliable class cover where needed. You should be equally comfortable working with a small intervention group or taking responsibility for a full class using work prepared by the teacher.
Key Duties- Provide classroom support across KS1 and KS2.
- Deliver lessons and planned activities to whole classes when required.
- Lead targeted literacy, numeracy and catch-up interventions.
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEN or barriers to learning.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours.
- Give teachers useful feedback on pupil participation and progress.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has HLTA status or strong equivalent classroom experience.
- Has worked within a UK primary-school environment.
- Understands the expectations of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
- Can establish positive relationships with pupils quickly.
- Is organised, dependable and confident managing behaviour.
- Holds or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.
- Has the right to work in the UK.
