- What the Role Involves
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a named pupil with additional needs throughout the full school day
- Implementing strategies outlined in the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan under SENDCO guidance
- Supporting the pupil to access the curriculum, engage with peers, and participate positively in school life
- Maintaining accurate records of the pupil's progress and wellbeing and feeding back to the class teacher and SENDCO
- Building a consistent, trusted, and nurturing relationship with the pupil and their family throughout the year
- What the School is Looking For
The ideal 1:1 Support Assistant will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university. Previous experience supporting children with additional needs in a UK school or educational setting is highly valued. The school is seeking a patient, warm, and dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to making a meaningful difference to one child's educational experience.

1:1 Support Assistant- Salary and Contract Info
- £444 per week, pro rata to term time only
- Full-time, long-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027
- Term-time only
- Potential for extended contracts or teacher training pathways following a successful placement
