Contract: Full-time, Long-term Temporary

Teach Now is recruiting a passionate KS1 Teacher to join an energetic and inclusive primary school in Brent.

The school has a highly diverse pupil community and is looking for a teacher who can make learning accessible, exciting and ambitious for every child. Literacy is a particular priority, so the successful candidate should be confident delivering phonics and developing strong early reading habits.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues and support staff, with shared planning helping to create a manageable and collaborative workload.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
  • Teach systematic synthetic phonics confidently.
  • Promote high standards of reading, writing and maths.
  • Differentiate effectively for pupils with different starting points.
  • Track progress and use assessment to guide teaching.
  • Maintain clear expectations and positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with families and colleagues.
Requirements
  • QTS.
  • Relevant KS1 teaching experience.
  • Good understanding of phonics and early reading.
  • Commitment to equality, inclusion and high expectations.
  • Excellent communication and organisation.
