The Department of Music, Drama and Media Arts at Royal Holloway University of London is recruiting a dynamic Lecturer (either Teaching Focused or Teaching & Research, dependent on profile of applicant) in Cinematography and Virtual Production, based at its Egham campus. The department provides a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes to a student body that is over 40% Black and Global Majority.
The successful candidate will teach on our BA programmes in Video Games Art and Design, Film Television and Digital Production and Digital Media Culture and Technology. They will play a key role in developing how Virtual Production is taught at RHUL and work closely with our diverse student cohort. The post also offers the candidate the chance to teach modules in cinematography, virtual production and creative digital arts, and to contribute to taught postgraduate programmes in Media Arts where appropriate.
The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in relevant subjects at undergraduate level. They should be able to demonstrate significant industry experience or have been awarded a PhD in a relevant field. The appointment will be made at Grade 8.The job holder will report to the Section Head for Digital Media Arts, undertaking appropriate managerial and administrative duties. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational, team-working and interpersonal skills, with proven abilities to engage with students and colleagues.
