? A specialist SEN school based in Chiswick, West London is looking to appoint a PE Teacher to join their team this month.

This is an excellent opportunity for a PE Teacher to work within a specialist school environment, delivering engaging and accessible PE lessons to secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs.

As a PE Teacher in this Chiswick school, you will plan and deliver practical PE lessons that encourage pupils to participate, develop physical skills and build confidence.

The successful PE Teacher will be able to adapt activities and lessons to meet different abilities and learning needs, while creating an engaging and structured environment.

• Teaching PE across the secondary age range

• Planning and delivering practical PE lessons

• Adapting activities to meet a range of SEN and learning needs

• Encouraging pupils to participate in physical activity

• Developing pupils' physical, social and communication skills through PE

• Creating structured and accessible lessons

• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to learning plans

• Working closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff

• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement during lessons

• Helping pupils develop confidence through sport and physical activity

The school is looking for a PE Teacher who has:

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching PE at secondary level

• Experience working within an SEN or specialist setting is desirable

• Good knowledge of adapting PE activities for pupils with additional needs

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• A practical, creative and flexible approach to teaching

• The ability to engage pupils with different levels of physical ability

• An interest in working within specialist education
