The role
The School of Allied Health and Life Sciences is seeking a Sport Psychologist to deliver Semester 1 teaching on its undergraduate BSc Sport and Exercise Science programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full delivery of the Level 5 Sport Psychology 2 module, including teaching, assessment, marking, and feedback.
This module is designed to develop students' knowledge of sport psychology and enhance their research skills through the exploration of key psychological concepts and theoretical perspectives that underpin sport performance. Students engage in a series of small, student-led research projects throughout the semester, providing opportunities to apply theory to practice and develop critical analytical skills.
As an Hourly Paid Lecturer, the successful candidate will deliver scheduled teaching and practical activities. In addition, the role includes associated academic responsibilities such as session preparation, marking, administration, curriculum support, quality assurance activities, scholarly engagement, and participation in course meetings.
About You- Will possess a postgraduate qualification in Sport Psychology, together with relevant industry experience and/or be undertaking or have recently completed doctoral study in the field.
- Experience of teaching and supporting student learning in higher education within Sport Psychology, including the design, delivery, and assessment of inclusive and effective learning activities.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of equality and diversity, and its practical application.
