Do you have a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

A specialist education provision is looking for a compassionate, resilient and relationship-focused SEMH Mentor to join thir team from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who may have experienced significant barriers to education and need consistent support to rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning.

The Role

As an SEMH Mentor, you will:

Build strong, trusting relationships with young people with SEMH and behavioural needs.
Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring and pastoral support.
Help students understand and manage their emotions and behaviour.
Support emotional regulation, resilience and positive decision-making.
Encourage young people to re-engage with education and develop positive routines.
Provide a consistent and trusted adult presence throughout the school day.
Support students during lessons, transitions and less structured periods.
Use calm, positive approaches to manage and de-escalate challenging situations.
