Strategy Education are currently recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary, secondary and SEN schools throughout London.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain valuable experience within education, particularly those considering a future career in teaching or working with children and young people.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, working with small groups or providing general classroom support. Depending on your experience and the needs of the school, you may also support pupils with SEN, behaviour and learning needs.

We are particularly interested in graduates who have previous experience working within a primary, secondary or SEN school, although relevant experience working with children or young people in other settings will also be considered.

The Ideal Candidate

* A recent graduate or graduate with a relevant degree

* Previous experience working within a school is desirable

* Experience supporting children or young people is highly desirable

* Interested in developing a career within education

* Confident, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils

* Patient, adaptable and able to support pupils with a range of needs

* SEN experience would be an advantage

* Able to work effectively as part of a school team

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

An Enhanced DBS is required for these positions, ideally registered on the DBS Update Service, or candidates must be willing to apply for one.
