Academics are currently recruiting a Lunchtime Supervisor to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hounslow on a temporary ongoing basis.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an important part in creating a safe, positive, and enjoyable lunchtime environment.

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising pupils during their lunch break, ensuring they remain safe and well-supported. You will help maintain a clean and organised dining area, support pupils where needed, and encourage positive behaviour and interactions.

Temporary, ongoing

Hours:

11:30am - 1:30pm
Pay:
From £14.50 - £16 per hour (depending on experience)

Immediate Start Available

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise pupils during lunchtime and ensure their safety and wellbeing
  • Support pupils in the dining hall and playground
  • Replenish drinking water and ensure pupils have access to water
  • Clean up spillages promptly and safely
  • Clean and wipe down tables following lunchtime
  • Encourage good manners, positive behaviour, and respectful interactions
  • Support pupils with their lunchtime routines where required
  • Monitor pupils and respond appropriately to any minor incidents
  • Promote a safe, calm, and welcoming environment
  • Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns to the appropriate member of staff
  • Work closely with teachers and other school staff to support pupils during lunchtime
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
  • A caring, patient, and reliable approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to supervise children confidently and fairly
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy school environment
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
