A large secondary school in Hackney is looking to appoint a qualified Science Teacher for a September 2026 start.

The school is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable teacher to deliver high quality Science lessons and support students in achieving strong academic outcomes. Alongside strong teaching ability, the school is looking for someone who will be a great fit for the department. The successful candidate will be lively, engaging, positive and ready to get stuck in as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

The Role

Teach Science across KS3 and KS4
Plan and deliver engaging lessons
Assess and monitor student progress
Maintain a positive learning environment
Work collaboratively within the Science department

Requirements

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools
Strong subject knowledge
Good classroom management skills
A positive, energetic and engaging approach
Willingness to contribute to the wider school community
Commitment to raising student attainment
