Schools Engagement Worker Full time: 35 hours (applicants offering 28 hours are also welcome to apply) Maternity Cover: 1 year fixed – term contract Salary: £27,000 – £29,000

- Deliver engaging healthy relationships workshops in schools
- Lead our student ambassador programmes
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools and community stakeholders
- Help empower over 5,000 young people every year
- JWA staff meetings
- Outreach and Prevention team meetings
- Regular in person sessions in schools
- Ability to speak confidently in educational settings and
- Engage both large and small groups, mainly of young people

Our outreach and prevention programmes are reshaping attitudes across the Jewish community, challenging norms around domestic abuse and sexual violence. We are committed to ensuring these issues are the responsibility of the entire community. Violence against women and girls (VAWG) affects us all, and our goal is to empower individuals, schools, youth movements, university students, synagogues and organisations to take ownership of change within their own communities.
We believe that healthy relationships education, including domestic abuse and sexual violence awareness, should be an essential part of Jewish community life. We are creating a cultural change in attitudes and behaviours towards healthy relationships and domestic abuse across the community, aspiring to our vision of creating a world without violence against women and girls. We are committed to supporting the community to shape a new generation of young people with the confidence and skills to engage in healthy relationships from the start and throughout their lives.

We are seeking a dynamic, engaging, and passionate educator to join us as our next Schools Engagement Worker (Maternity Cover). This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young people, challenge harmful attitudes, and contribute to meaningful, long-lasting social change.
Through our work in Jewish and mainstream schools across London, Manchester, and Leeds, we deliver a Whole School Approach that engages students, teachers, parents, and wider school communities. Each year, our prevention education programmes reach more than 5,000 young people, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to build healthy relationships and positively influence their peers. As part of our wider Outreach and Prevention team, you will play a key role in our mission to prevent violence against women and girls across the community.
In this role, you will deliver engaging and interactive healthy relationships workshops in schools, lead our successful student ambassador programmes, and build strong partnerships with schools and community stakeholders. You will work closely with a range of partners to ensure our programmes remain impactful, relevant, and responsive to the needs of young people.
This role would suit an enthusiastic educator with excellent communication and relation shipbuilding skills, a commitment to safeguarding, and a passion for empowering young people to create positive change.
