Location: 76 Montrose Avenue, Edgware HA8 0DT

Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on experience Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, including regular evening and weekend work

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and delivery of the employability and enterprise programme
  • Delivering CV, interview, careers and workplace skills support
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support for young people who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET
  • Supporting applications for jobs, apprenticeships, college and training
  • Developing relationships with employers, schools, colleges, training providers and community partners
  • Creating work experience, workplace visits, mentoring and employer-led opportunities
  • Developing practical enterprise projects and challenges
  • Acting as Session Lead or Duty Manager when required
  • Supporting safeguarding and positive behaviour across youth sessions
  • Monitoring young people’s engagement, progress and outcomes

This is a hands-on position, with approximately 22.5 hours each week spent delivering directly to young people, alongside programme development, partnership work and administration.

About you

You may already work in youth services, employability, careers, skills, education or employment support. What matters is your ability to build trusted relationships with young people and help them recognise and achieve their potential.

You will have:

  • Substantial experience of working with young people
  • Experience of leading activities and successfully managing projects
  • A strong understanding of employability and education, employment and training pathways
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to engage young people who may face barriers to employment or education
  • Strong organisational skills and a flexible, practical approach
  • Confidence working with employers, partners and external organisations
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and positive outcomes for young people

A professional Youth Work qualification, knowledge of apprenticeship and training pathways and an understanding of the local employment and education landscape would be advantageous.
