The Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, based in South Kensington, delivers a curriculum taught in French from 3 to 18 years old to around 3,500 children, under the authority of the French ministry of foreign affairs and includes a British Section for students who choose to pursue their Key Stage 4/5 studying GCSE’s and A Levels, taught in English. Outstanding public examination results are consistently achieved.

The Lycée is looking for a full time (19 hours/week) Physics Teacher from September 2024 to teach in the British Section. The successful candidate will have had successful experience of teaching Physics to GCSE and A Level.

You will be employed directly by the Lycée and your contract will be governed by English Law.

Monthly gross salary and benefits:

  • From £ 36 000 per annum including all allowances for a full time
  • 60 days holiday per annum for a full time

The Lycée is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all its staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All post holders are subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. This procedure is undertaken by the Lycée. Additionally, anyone who has resided outside the UK will be asked to provide a criminal disclosure record from their previous countries of residence.

Non-British citizens:
You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Successful candidates will be invited to an interview on week commencing 17th April (the date and time of the interview will be communicated by email).
