The Opportunity

A welcoming primary school in East Dulwich is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and complex needs.

This role would suit someone who is calm under pressure, highly organised, and confident in supporting a child who requires consistent structure, encouragement, and emotional regulation throughout the school day.

You will be joining a collaborative environment where SEN provision is valued and additional training is encouraged.

The Role As the childs 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support learning across the Year 4 curriculum
  • Help the pupil remain focused and engaged during lessons
  • Implement strategies to support attention, regulation, and behaviour
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback on learning and wellbeing
  • Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has experience supporting children with ADHD and complex SEN needs
  • Demonstrates strong behavioural management skills
  • Is patient, resilient, and able to maintain clear boundaries
  • Can adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Brings a positive, confident, and proactive attitude
