Qualified Level 6 Teaching Assistant ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is looking for a Level 6 Qualified Teaching Assistant for a welcoming three form-entry primary school in Merton, South West London. This diverse primary school in Merton, South West London is committed to supporting pupils with mixed abilities. The successful Level 6 Teaching Assistant will support teaching and learning across the classroom, delivering targeted interventions, providing 1:1 and small-group support, and helping pupils make progress academically, socially, and emotionally.

Full Time - Rate of Pay: GBP
105 - GBP
120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) - Hours:
8:15am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
- Hold a recognised Level 6 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent relevant childcare/education qualification)
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or Learning Support Assistant within a primary school setting
- Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, Social & SEMH
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Up-to-date Safeguarding Training is desirable
- GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years
- Must have a Level 6 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent relevant childcare/education qualification)
