Teaching Assistant 1-1

- Looking to recruit a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 3 student that has Global Development Delay and Epilepsy at a Hornchurch School.

The student has limited communication, uses the Now & Next board and works at a low level academically. The successful candidate will provide structured learning, build confidence, and develop the student's independence throughout the school day.

Monday
- Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm (Term time only).

• Deliver structured learning activities using a Now and Next approach and Bucket Time.
• Support the student's communication, engagement, and social development.
• Adapt learning tasks to meet the student's individual needs and abilities.
• Ensure the student's safety and wellbeing at all times, including following any epilepsy care plans.

• Experience and an understanding of Global Development Delay, communication difficulties and Learning Needs.
• Patient, nurturing, and resilient with a child-centred approach.
• Teaching Assistant L2 / L3, SEND, Psychology or Care qualification.

• Over 300 training courses for all workers.
