Smart Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Academic Mentor to join a successful secondary school in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or aspiring teacher who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience while making a real impact on students' academic progress.

As a Maths Academic Mentor, you will work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing targeted support to help improve confidence, understanding, and attainment in Mathematics. You will support pupils through small group interventions, one-to-one sessions, and in-class support alongside the Maths department.

• Supporting students with their Maths learning across KS3 and KS4
• Delivering small group and one-to-one intervention sessions
• Helping students build confidence and develop positive attitudes towards Mathematics
• Working alongside teachers to identify areas for improvement and provide additional support
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to support learning
• Encouraging students to develop effective study habits and independent learning skills

• A graduate with a strong academic background in Mathematics or a related subject (desirable)
• Previous experience supporting young people within an educational setting
• A confident communicator with the ability to motivate and engage students
• Passionate about education and supporting student development
• Considering a future career in teaching (ideal preparation for teacher training)
