Nursery Apprentice – Earn While You Learn

Barnet, EN5 1JE

£8.00 per hour (Apprenticeship Wage)

Part Time | Monday to Friday| 20 hours per week, two shifts from 8am-5pm and the potential to include an additional half a day.

Your Role:

As a Nursery Apprentice, you’ll help create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive.

You’ll support the team with:

Planning fun and engaging activities
Supporting children’s learning and development
Helping with mealtimes, play, and daily routines
Building positive relationships with children and families
Maintaining a safe and caring environment
Observing and supporting children’s progress

About the Apprenticeship:

Level 2 Early Years Practitioner or Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification
Training delivered virtually alongside your practical experience
Apprenticeship duration: approximately 12–20 months
Full support provided from day one

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

Passionate about working with children
Friendly, caring, and reliable
Eager to learn and develop new skills
Able to travel to the nursery location

You’ll also need:

GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), or willingness to complete Functional Skills support alongside the course
Access to a laptop/computer with internet access
To have lived in the UK for at least 3 years for apprenticeship funding eligibility

The role is for an Apprenticeship:

Starting pay: £8.00 per hour (Apprentice Minimum Wage)
Progression:
If aged 19+ and continuing beyond the first year, pay will increase to at least the applicable age related National Minimum Wage from year two. Performance and annual reviews may apply thereafter.
