Aspiring Teacher Program

A fantastic Secondary School in the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham are on the hunt for Aspiring Teachers for ASAP starts. This is a full-time, and long-term role for full academic year.

• Supervising classes across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5 in the absence of the class teacher
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of Secondary subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations throughout lessons
• Ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused and completing the work provided
• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basis where required
• Providing additional academic support and intervention for pupils who require it
• Working closely with Teachers, Heads of Department and the wider pastoral team
• Developing strong classroom management, communication and leadership skills
• Gaining invaluable Secondary School experience ahead of potential Teacher Training

You will have the opportunity to enrol onto a Salaried Schools Direct opportunity via the Secondary School starting in September 2027.

• Degree educated or strong academic background preferred
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
• Confident, enthusiastic and personable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent behaviour management potential
• Ability to build positive relationships with Secondary-aged pupils
• Must be resilient, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility for a classroom
• Genuine passion for education and supporting young people
