We are looking for an experienced Student Support Mentor to promote positive behaviour across the school. You will guide students and staff, ensuring that a calm and respectful environment is fostered, helping to maximise the potential of every pupil.
Key Responsibilities:- To promote and provide support for all students at The Link School as required.
- To support and work with staff, parents andother agencies to support all students as required.
- To work with students, staff, parents and other agencies form other educational settings as part of The Link School’s outreach& support offer
- The Student Support Mentor will be responsible forthe supporting the smooth day to day running of the school, including supervising students who are not attending their normal lessons for a varietyof reasons and being a visible presence around the school to support a positive learning environment.
- General level of education: GCSE
- Understanding/Knowledge of Children with Special Education Needs
- Ability to adapt activities to learners changing motivation and interest levels
- Understanding of safeguarding practice within a school environment
- Observe pupil learning behaviour and report observations to the teacher
