Art Teacher

The Pride Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacherto join our welcoming school community. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs, delivering tailored lessons that support and inspire every child toachieve their full potential.

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated Art lessons that meet the diverse academic, social and emotional needs of all students.
• Create a safe, nurturing and well-structured classroom environment that encourages self-expression, confidence and positive engagement.
• Use assessment to monitor progress, set personalised targets and support students in developing their artistic skillsand creativity.
• Contribute to the development of a broad,balanced and inclusive Art curriculum, including enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues,pastoral teams and external professionals to support students’ wellbeing and overall development.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent,with a qualification in Art or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Art, ideally within anSEMH, special school or alternative provision setting.
• Strong understanding of SEMH needs and the ability to manage behaviour using supportive and restorative approaches.
• Ability to plan and deliver creative,adaptive lessons that engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staffand families.
