SEN Learning Support Assistant
Contract type: Permanent
Reports to: Head of SENCO
Work pattern:30 hours per week (full-time or part-time considered), Term time +5 INSET days (38.6 weeks)
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8.30am
-3.00pm, including 30 minute unpaid lunch break
Salary information: Starting salary Scale 3, Point 5,£21,544 per annum (FTE £30,408 per annum),rising to Scale 3, Point 6,£21,852 per annum(FTE £30,843 per annum).

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Learning Support Assistant - SEN to work as part of a small team and working with teaching staff to support access to learning for students with specific needs, both in groups and on a 1-1 basis, delivering pre and post teaching support as required.
The role would suit an experienced support assistants or someone considering a career in youth work or teaching.
- Be enthusiastic about working with a range of pupils with differing needs and abilities.
- Show initiative and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of school life.
- Possess a good general level of education and be emotionally robust and capable of dealing with challenging student behaviour.
- Have a proven track record of good working relationships and professionalism.
- Feel confident in working independently with small groups of pupils.
Vyners is a very popular and oversubscribed mixed eight form entry, 11-18 comprehensive school situated in a pleasant residential area in North West London, bordering Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. In 2026, 79% of students achieved grades 9-4 in both English and Maths at GCSE and we are consistently ranked in the top 10% of all schools nationally for progress measures and attainment.
