Job Description & How to Apply Below
SCCU Group is a leading educational institution committed to providing high-quality learning experiences to students. We are dedicated to fostering an environment that encourages academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. As part of our commitment to support learners to fulfil their potential, we're seeking an experienced Learner Engagement Advisor to join our team.
Person Specification
We are seeking a warm, engaging and learner-focused individual who is passionate about helping South Yorkshire residents recognise their potential. You will communicate with empathy and respect, adapt your approach to individual needs and provide impartial Advice and Guidance. Organised, creative and resourceful, you will use initiative to overcome barriers, build relationships and deliver an excellent learner experience. You must have experience of working across South Yorkshire and within funded provision, alongside strong local knowledge.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, enabling face-to-face engagement with learners, employers, partners and community stakeholders across the region.
Job Summary:
You will join a growing team responsible for engaging prospective learners and supporting them through the initial advice, assessment and enrolment process. Through impartial Advice and Guidance, you will support individuals to identify the Adult Skills Funded provision that best meets their needs, ambitions and career goals.
Central to the role is a strong commitment to supporting local residents across South Yorkshire. You will build trust, help people recognise their potential and inspire them to discover what is possible through meaningful training, new qualifications and continued personal and professional development.
You will work collaboratively with Jobcentre Plus, community organisations, referral agencies, local employers and other stakeholders to raise awareness of available provision and generate appropriate learner referrals. By developing a strong understanding of South Yorkshire and its communities, you will help ensure training reaches the residents who will benefit most and contributes to local skills, employment and progression needs.
