Job Description & How to Apply Below

We Do Data  is a specialist recruitment company whose focus is non-teaching support in the education sector.

Starting college can be a big change, particularly for young people with SEND. We’re looking for a SEND Transition Worker to work for a further education client of ours in West London, who can help make that move as smooth and positive as possible.

You’ll work with young people and their families from Year 9 onwards, helping them prepare for college and understand what to expect. This could involve arranging visits and taster sessions, attending EHCP reviews, liaising with schools and Local Authorities, and helping learners think about their options after college.

There’s also an important administrative side to the role. You’ll help manage EHCP information, keep learner records up to date, monitor deadlines and support the review process.

We’re looking for someone who has experience of working with children or young people with SEND in education. You’ll need to be organised, approachable and confident communicating with learners, families, schools and other agencies. Good IT and administrative skills are important too.

Above all, you’ll understand that every learner is different and be able to respond to their individual educational, physical and emotional needs.

If you enjoy working with young people and want a role where you can help them feel confident about their next step, we’d love to hear from you.

My client can offer the following:

  • £31,632 to £33,621 per annum.
  • 29 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Access to local government pension scheme.
  • Free car parking on all campuses
  • Subsidised gym membership
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Public Transport Season Ticket Loan scheme

If you'd like to discuss this opportunity in more detail please call Jay at We Do Data  on .

If this role isn't quite right for you please feel free to share with anyone you think might be better suited.

We Do Data  (Bristol) Ltd is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, applicants, and clients to share this commitment.

Any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. In accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
