We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and committed Computing Lecturer to join our successful and growing Computing department. This is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional or experienced educator to inspire the next generation of digital talent and contribute to the continued success of our learners.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of Computing programmes and will be passionate about helping students develop the technical, professional, and employability skills required for further study and careers in the digital sector.
Applicants must have knowledge and experience in teaching and/or working within the following areas:- Programming, including Python and Java
- Cybersecurity
- Cisco Packet Tracer
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of using SMART Technologies and other digital learning tools
- Strong digital literacy and confidence with educational technologies
- Ability to motivate and engage learners from diverse backgrounds
- Adaptable and flexible in their approach to teaching and learning
- Innovative and creative in lesson planning and delivery
- Passionate about student achievement and progression
- Committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
- Keen to contribute to the wider development of the Computing curriculum.
Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group (HRUC) and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old’s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre in 2024.
