Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs) Education1.MA in a relevant field (i.e., science education) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school educator/pedagogue/community educator
2.PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset
Experience1.Expert knowledge of:
- Elementary science pedagogy, as outlined in the course description
- Research on elementary science pedagogy
- Research on elementary students’ scientific thinking and practice
2.Experience as a master teacher/instructor science, mathematics, or a related field in the Quebec educational system
3.Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP)
4.Familiarity with the professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation
Other1.Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate level
2.Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion
3.Familiarity using my Courses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences
4.Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset
5.Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools
6.Familiarity of and/or experience with the practice-based pedagigies in science teacher education is an asset.

2.Must be available to attend course coordination meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of course start date.
