About the Role

You'll work with an education provider, delivering tutorials, enrichment and pastoral support while helping learners prepare for their next steps.

You'll manage a caseload of learners, tracking their progress and stepping in early where someone is at risk of not achieving. You'll build strong relationships with students, colleagues and families so that support is joined up and timely.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging weekly group tutorials covering safeguarding, pastoral topics, careers, social action and study skills.
  • Conducting one-to-one sessions and supporting students to set and achieve SMART targets.
  • Managing a student caseload and monitoring progress.
  • Supporting attendance, behaviour and engagement interventions.
  • Identifying learners at risk of non-achievement and putting appropriate support in place.
  • Supporting students with careers, progression and intended destinations.
  • Liaising with parents, carers and external agencies, and signposting students to appropriate services.
  • Maintaining accurate student records and tracking engagement and impact.

  • Experience of delivering group sessions and one-to-one support
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • An understanding of the challenges facing young people
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and multi-agency working
  • A calm, empathetic and supportive approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy

Desirable (but not essential):
