Teacher of History (1 year maternity cover) – Independent secondary school in Central London
An independent secondary school in central London is looking for a Teacher of History (1 year maternity cover). The role offers the chance to bring historical debate and enquiry into the classroom. This appointment will suit someone who brings secure subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching.
Teach History from Year 7 through to A Level in an independent secondary setting. This is a 12-month maternity-cover appointment, offering the opportunity to work with students across the full secondary age range. A strong academic background, clear written communication and the ability to make complex ideas accessible will be important.

* Teach Across Year 7 to A Level
* Must have QTS and Experience Teaching History in the UK
What You'll Be Doing:
* Teach History from Year 7 through to A Level in an independent secondary setting
* Plan lessons that make subject knowledge clear and accessible
* Adapt explanations and activities for different levels of understanding
* Assess students’ work and give feedback they can use
* Contribute ideas and resources to the subject team
* Maintain a purposeful classroom where pupils can participate confidently
