Location: Greater London

Our client is an Integrated Energy company, and trader of Commodity and Energy products including, Gas, Power, LNG, and Oil, based in Central London. They offer a unique chance to work within a growing and diversifying business, with a strong commercial appetite.

This role exists within the wider Oil Products Operations team and will join the team as the Senior Operator for Gasoline & Naphtha trading operations. The business is looking for a candidate with proven experience in Oil Products operations, whilst the role will cover all Gasoline and Naphtha operations and blending.

The successful candidate will be driven, proactive, with a huge appetite to succeed and is willing and able to improve existing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to co-ordinate and oversee large portfolio of cargoes across regions for all light ends products including Gasoline and Naphtha, Experience in blending operations and managing a 3rd party storage terminal operating both cargoes and barges.
  • Strong working knowledge of gasoline blend components, including reformate, alkylate, isomerate, straight-run naphtha, MTBE/ETBE, ethanol, and other oxygenates. Understanding of the functional role of each component in achieving finished-grade specifications.
  • Ability to assess blending options and constraints to meet regional and contractual gasoline specifications.
  • Co-ordinating operations from trade inception to completion relating to products.
  • Obtain clean acceptance of vessels in a timely manner.
  • Issue voyage orders to shipping/counter-parties and monitor progress of vessel, informing trading of any slippage or speed-ups in a timely manner.
  • Appoint approved inspectors as required.
  • Ensure cargo loading and discharging adhere to any credit or L/C requirements.
  • Accurately update Trading systems in a timely fashion.
  • Check all calculations relating to the trade (freight & freight diff, interim port calculations, demurrage, inspectors, cargo superintendents, gains/losses, insurance and additives).
  • Minimize profit leakage.
  • Make or assist in claims where necessary.
  • Establishing and maintaining good and professional working relationships with internal and external counter parties.
  • Maintain accurate records of each cargo including prompt and accurate filing.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational processes.
  • Co-ordination with Financial accounting team for Month & Qtr end, with regards to Accruals and Inventory reporting.
Education, Experience & Qualifications Required
  • Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Commercial Experience – Desired. Minimum 3 years operations experience.
