Our Rondo Heat Batteries turn low-cost renewable electricity into continuous, high-temperature heat and power, enabling industrial facilities to replace fossil-fired boilers without costly process changes. The result is lower-cost, zero-carbon industrial energy delivered safely, reliably, and at 98% efficiency.

Rondo is commercially deployed and rapidly scaling, today.

Backed by world-class industrial leaders and investors – including Breakthrough Energy, Energy Impact Partners, Rio Tinto, Aramco, SABIC, SCG, TITAN, Microsoft, H&M, and John Doerr – Rondo is building the next generation of industrial energy infrastructure at global scale.

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager, Energy Strategy & Power Procurement, to join our team and help repower industrial heat at scale across Europe, Australia and the US. In this role, you will define how and help action the sourcing of electricity to charge our Rondo Heat Battery projects, from conceptual framing, to early-stage pricing assessments through to final commercial contracting with suppliers.

Your work will directly enable project economics and viability, guide Rondo's market expansion, and help to shape policy conditions that support adoption of electrified industrial heat.

    • Collaborate with Deal Owners to structure, negotiate, and execute electricity procurement agreements for RHB projects, including VPPA, grid charging, greenfield off-grid solutions, hybridized sourcing (power & natural gas).
    • Lead or support formal procurement processes, including RFIs and RFPs, evaluating offers on commercial, technical, and regulatory criteria.
    • Identify and negotiate key commercial terms for power supply agreements, hedges, and hybrid structures needed to create customer value and ensure project bankability.
  • Power Market Intelligence and Geographic Prioritization
    • Build and maintain a deep understanding of European, Australian and US wholesale and retail electricity markets, including pricing dynamics, long term forecasts, and renewable development pipelines.
    • Assess regulatory frameworks and upcoming reforms across countries, identifying risks and opportunities for Rondo deployment.
    • Partner with regional business development leadership to identify priority markets, understand barriers to entry, and refine expansion strategy.
  • Policy, Regulatory and Market Access Development
    • Track how energy policy changes, including capacity markets, grid interconnection rules, curtailment rules, guarantees of origin, market redesign, and flexibility markets, impact sourcing strategy.
    • Develop a clear roadmap of regulatory and policy requirements that enable Rondo participation in target markets.
    • Coordinate with internal leadership, external advisors, industry associations, and policy partners to advance reforms that support electrified industrial heat.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Software) or Energy Economics and a Master's degree or MBA with an energy focus is highly desirable.
