An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aerospace Technical Assistant to join a well-established and growing London Market insurance business. This role is suited to a technically strong insurance professional with proven Aerospace experience who is confident managing complex technical processes, supporting operational teams, and ensuring the accurate handling of premium calculations, bureau processing and IBA-related activities.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and process complex slip and endorsement wordings.
- Prepare and maintain accurate premium calculations, including brokerage and tax calculations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Account Handlers on policy documentation and wordings.
- Manage and resolve Velonetic, insurer and IBA queries in a timely manner.
- Act as the main technical contact for the offshore processing team, ensuring queries are resolved accurately and efficiently.
- Support the administration of complex Aerospace portfolios, maintaining the highest standards of technical accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth processing of business.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all work complies with Lloyd's and London Market procedures.
- Previous experience in a Technical Assistant or similar technical role within the London Market Aerospace insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of Aerospace insurance products and risks.
- Proven experience producing premium calculations, including brokerage and tax calculations.
- Good understanding of bureau processing, Velonetic and IBA procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload to tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of technical accuracy.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
