Mechanical Technician – Power Station Competitive salary depending on experience benefits Sleaford, Lincolnshire SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance department of a biomass power station near in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. This role focuses on delivering safe, reliable mechanical maintenance across the plant, supporting availability, efficiency and long-term asset performance. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure all mechanical equipment is maintained to a high standard.
The role will involve:
Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on rotating and static plant equipment Maintenance and overhaul of pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors and associated systems Supporting maintenance activities on boilers, fuel handling and auxiliary plant Carrying out fault-finding, defect rectification and first-line repairs Completing maintenance activities in line with site procedures, permits and isolation requirements Updating maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS Supporting outages and shutdown activities as required Working alongside specialist contractors and equipment vendors Maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeeping To be considered for this role, you should have: A recognised mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a completed apprenticeship Experience working in an industrial or process environment such as power generation, refining, paper production etc.
Marine Engineers from the Navy will also be considered Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance experience on equipment such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, compressors, conveyor systems etc Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary site team A strong understanding of safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures What's on offer:
