What You’ll Get
Our two year Graduate Development Program is designed to accelerate your growth as you begin your Jacobs career. Through blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking, you’ll build capability across four key areas: human skills, consulting skills, championing our strategy, and developing your personal passions.
You’ll tailor your learning journey to your interests, career goals and technical strengths — creating a graduate experience that’s uniquely yours. Much of your development will come through real project work, supported by your manager and mentor to ensure you gain the experiences that matter most.
The Graduate Development Program isn’t just a steppingstone — it’s a launchpad. You’ll gain the tools, exposure and support to unlock your potential, working on meaningful projects and collaborating with industry leaders to deliver solutions to complex challenges.
About the opportunity
Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector, working with major clients like National Highways, Transport for Scotland, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Heathrow Ltd, Environmental Agency and the Welsh Government. From global mega-projects like King Salman International Airport to local initiatives with councils and transport authorities, we offer opportunities to make a real impact—both worldwide and in your own community.
The successful candidate will be provided with on-the-job training using the latest software tools and analysis techniques and exposure to an interesting mix of projects through concept stage, construction and handover into operations. You will assist and support colleagues in the preparation of road safety assessments and audits, collision and casualty analysis and scheme reports to support the enhancement of the safety performance of road networks, primarily throughout the UK.
There may also be opportunities to work on overseas projects in Ireland and the Middle East.
As a new graduate within our Operational Road Safety team, you will have the opportunity to make your mark and influence the continuing growth of Jacobs working on a plethora of diverse projects across national strategic infrastructure, urban developments, and specialist sites.
The start date for this role is September 2027.
Here's what you'll need
- Be working towards a relevant Degree or Master’s level qualification in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography , Data Science (lot of collision data mapping involved)
